All India Mca Common Entrance Test- AIMCET
The organizer of this entrance exam is IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) to admit candidates in the post graduation courses like MCA.
With the help of this exam they identify the potential and train them to have better knowledge in the filed of computer science.
The non residents are not eligible to write this exam.
The applicant must complete their 3 year bachelor degree in the computer discipline in any college recognised by any Indian university or any Indian state.
The applicants who are in final year of the UG are also eligible to apply for this exam.
AVAIL OF APPLICATION:
The notifications regarding the application will be notified in the IIT website. The applications are available in the institute or in post offices or bank from the month of march/April.
The applications can be downloaded from the IIT Website.
The last date for receipt of filed applications along with demand drat will be on end of April.
The admission card for entrance exam will be given to the candidates in the month of may and the examination will be conducted in the month of June at major cities throughout India.
The medium of instruction is English and the examination consists of 200 questions. The examination is divided into various sections like
Mathematics: – 100 Questions
The topics covered in this section are algebra, calculus and geometry
Computer Awareness: – 40 Questions
The topics covered in this section are computer languages, computr basics , computer architecture, etc
Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning: – 40 Questions
The topics covered under this section are logic and quantitative reasoning, data interpretation,etc
General Awareness: – 20 Questions
Some of the topics covered in this are scientific inverntions, transportations, health care, current affairs, etc…
