CONSORTIUM OF MEDICAL, ENGINEERING & DENTAL COLLEGES OF KARNATAKA (COMEDK) 2013 ENTRANCE EXAM

This exam is exclusive for the kannidagans i.e. Residents of Karnataka as this exam is organized by association of Karnataka private medical & dental college and Karnataka unaided private engineering college.

This exam is compulsory for all kannidagans to attend if they want to pursue education in Medical & Engineering field.

In order to take up this examination, the student must completed 2^nd year PUC with PCB/PCM as their streams in PUC.

Even though this exam is conducted exclusive for Karnataka students, the requirements for medical and dental courses will be as per the norms of MCI (medical council of India) & DCI (dental council of India).

For engineering the norms of AICTE (All India council of Technical Education) is followed.

Kindly note, even though this exam is conducted to admit student in Medical & Engineering courses, nearly 25% of seats in engineering, 40% of seats in Medical & 45% of seats in dental colleges are filled by this exam.

The applications can be availed in March in online in the website www.comedk.org.

The examination fee is Rs.700/- for 3 subjects namely Physics, chemistry, Mathematics or Biology (PCB/PCM) & Rs.900/- for 4 subjects namely Physics, chemistry, Mathematics & Biology.

The fees need to be remitted in the form of demand draft in favour of “COMEDK”, payable at Bangalore.

The last date for receipt of application will be in April. The exam commences in May. The various cities in Karnataka acts as examination centre for COMEDK exam.

The examination is divided into 4 papers namely Paper 1, 2, 3 & 4 and the topics covered are Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
