INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUTE (ISI) 2016-2017 ENTRANCE EXAM
The courses like B.Stat (Hons), M.stat (Maths), B.math(Hons), M.S in quantitative economics are not usually preferred by many students. In order to get education in those disciplines, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is offering education in that fields.ISI organizes this exam to identify the suitable candidates for this field through entrance exam. This institute encourages education by giving stipend to the students.
The applications will be issued of February in regional post offices and in website www.isical.in till March. The receipt of application should reach concern office before end of March and the exam will be conducted in May.
For taking up under graduate courses candidate must have passed 12th standard and for PG courses the applicant must be a graduate from concern discipline where he/she wishes to pursue master’s degree.
The examination consists of 2 papers, among which one paper consists of objective type of questions and the other paper consists of descriptive type of questions. More over the candidate must attend personal interview also which is a part of entrance exam. The candidates will be selected based upon their academic marks and marks scored in the entrance exam and interview.
