MAHARASHTRA MBA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (MAH MBA CET) 2016-2017
The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra on behalf of government of Maharashtra conducts this exam to identify aspiring residents of Maharashtra to admit in Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program, which is accepted in all colleges & university inclusive of private colleges.
In order to take up this exam, the candidate must be a graduate with minimum 50% marks (general category) & 45% marks (SC/ST category).The graduates who are appearing for their final exam can also write this exam. The Non residents of Maharashtra and the Non residents of India are also eligible to take up this exam.
The applications will be issued from January in selected institutes of Maharashtra and in the website www.dte.org.in/mba. The fee is Rs.1150/- (general category) & Rs.950/- (SC/ST candidates) which has to paid along with filled applications within the first week of February, Rs.1000/- will be charged as a late fee if application is submitted after that last date. The exam will be conducted in last week of February across all cities of Maharashtra. The medium of instruction will be English only.
The examination consists of multiple choice objective questions that are divided into 2 papers that have to complete within duration of 60 minutes per paper. The 2 papers are General Aptitude & computer concepts. For every correct answer candidate will be awarded with 4 marks and for wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted as negative marking.
The topics covered in the examination are verbal ability & reading comprehension , Quantitative reasoning, Mathematics, logical reasoning, Input & Output Devices, Memory organization , Organization of Computers, back up devices, CPU & its structure and computer memory.
