Madhya Pradesh Pre Medical Test (MP PMT) 2013
This exam is organized by Madhya Pradesh Examination Board to admit students in various medical courses available in both private and government colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The applicant must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. The applicants must completed their higher secondary with minimum 50 %( 40% of marks for SC/ST category) of marks in science stream in their 12th standard. The applicants who are going to appear for the final examination of 12th standard are also eligible to take up this exam. More over the applicant must be 17 years of age.
AVAIL OF APPLICATIONS:
The applications are available from 3rd week of April at office of Professional examination Board, Bhopal. The cost of application is Rs.500/– for general category & Rs.250/- for SC/ST category. The applications can also be availed by sending a request along with demand draft for Rs.550/- in favour of Professional Examination Board. The last date for receipt of application will be on second week of May. The exam will be conducted on first week of June across Madhya Pradesh in places like

EXAMINATION PATTERN:
The written examination consists of 2 papers consisting of 100 multiple objective questions for each paper. The duration of the examination is 120 minutes for each paper. The medium of instruction is English.
The first paper consists of questions from Physics and chemistry. The second paper consists of questions from biology.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Some of the topics covered in the examination are given below:
Physics – Units and dimensions, Rigid body rotation and conservation of its momentum, Universal law of gravitation, Work energy and power, Newton’s Laws of motion, Elastic collisions, Static and kinetic friction, Wave nature of light.
Chemistry – Chemical Kinetic, Solid State, and Co-ordination compounds, nuclear chemistry, Calculation of empirical and molecular formulae of organic compounds, Transition metals, and Chemical equilibrium.
Biology – Respiration Importance, Cell Theory, Enzymes And Growth Hormones With Reference To Their Classification, Role of Plants In Human Welfare, Structural Organization Of Cell, Biotechnology, Five Kingdom Classification.
