NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NIT) 2016-2017
The National institute of technology, earlier known as Regional engineering colleges in the organizer of this exam to admit students in their 20 colleges across India. This exam is based on All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE).
The candidates who are going appear in final examination of 12th standard are eligible to write this exam. The students who have passed 12th standard and secured aggregate 50% marks in biology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer science and chemistry or its equivalent examination are also eligible to take up the exam.
The applicants who adopted science or computer science stream in their 12th standard are also eligible to take up the exam. The candidates can avail AIEEE exam only for 3 consecutive years after they completed their 12th standard.
The students who are enrolling their name in AIEEE exam is directly eligible to write this exam because as such there is no spate registration process is not required for this exam.
The examination pattern is also similar to the pattern of AIEEE exam. The questions will be asked from 11 & 12th standard syllabus covering the Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. The duration of the examination is 180 minutes and 1/4th of mark will be reduced as negative marking hours. For B.Tech the Physics & Mathematics are compulsory subjects. The subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, and Bio-Technology & Computer science are optional subjects. For B.Arch the questions from the subject drawing, aptitude & mathematics will be asked in the examination.
