WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (WBJEE) 2016-2017
The Government of West Bengal organises this exam exclusive for residents of Bengal to admit them in various courses of colleges in West Bengal.
The eligibility criterion regarding age is that the applicant must be 17 years of age and they must passed their 12th standard with minimum 50% of marks of General category and 45% of marks in case of SC/ST category with PCM/PCB as their subjects.
The application cost varies depending upon the courses. The candidates must purchase application form “M” for applying engineering and architecture courses. The form “E” for medical courses and form “C” for other courses

The application will be issued from in November in branches of United Bank of India (UBI) till December. The last date for submission of filled application will be in January and the exam will be conducted in April across West Bengal & Tripura.
The examination is portioned into 3 papers namely paper 1 as Mathematics, paper 2 as Physics & Chemistry and paper 3 as Biology. Each paper consists of 100 objective questions each carrying 1 mark per question. For every wrong 0.33 mark will be reduced under the concept of negative marking.
